desktop freezes, no virus no spyware, looked at boot.ini

I am having issue with my desktop and others on the computer,
it boots into windows and then it will freeze. doesnt matter what account I choose, it allows me no
access to desktop.
even turning on evga mode it freezes.
updated drivers on vidcard. checked spyware and antivirus,. no chng.
I even deleted my user account in system. It seemed to solve the issue,. But now, the smae again.

Anything besides format??
