Desktop Problems

I’m currently having a problem with my desktop. It’s quite a pale grey in colour so my mouse, which is white, is quite difficult to see in some lights. It’s a bit difficult to explain, so I’ve attached a link to a picture of my desktop and mouse.

My admin says that they cannot change the colour of my desktop as it is corporate policy for it to be that colour, so is there any way I can change my mouse?
