Desktop wont load

hey guys I have just run a repair off my backup cd, and now my windows desktop wont load. The desktop wont load in safe mode either. I have also run a chkdsk, and repair using bootcfg in recovery mode.Any Ideas on how to solve this problem. I had altered som option in admin tools, and thats why I ran the windows repair. Hope you can help thank for your replies
