Hi, after reading and looking for so long, I finally decided to come to THE REPUBLIC for help. I recently installed win2k server on my pc and I am having problems with dhcp , but since dhcp works together with DNS and AD, I really do not know where to start.
1. The clients are on the domain win2k.server.net
2. Computer name is dell11.win2k.server.net
3. I can always ping both computers from and to each other. I can even run computernames.
4. The problem is when the client wants to connect to the internet. I cant get it to get the gateway info.
5. I ran ipconfig /all on the client and it returns everything right, except no gateway field. Hence, i cant get online. NOw, I know DHCP does not give out gateway info, so I am thinking the problem does not lie there. BUt, I am really in a bind and I would love to know how to get this up and running. Any help would be greatly appreciated, I am constantly checking my email and here , so I will respond. thank you very much, Sincerely, Carlos Maduro
