DHCP will not go away!!!!

I have a very unusual issue I’ve never run into before. I’m working on a network which has no DHCP setup anywhere (servers, router, etc.). I have a pc which has DHCP enabled in My Network Places – properties, etc, and it will not accept a static IP. When I close out and go back into LAN properties – there it is again! Anyone know why DHCP keeps coming back?
