I have a dell poweredge 4400 with 6 scsi disks of each 9.1GB. I have gone into the configuration utility and has created containers for all 6 disks as volumes and has formatted(low level)them.i’d set default for the other configurations by pressing F6 and saving changes. when i save and quit to reboot, i still can’t boot from my bootable windows 2003 server cd. since i don’t have the dell cds that came with my server i don’t know what to do. i didn’t see anywhere configuration utility to enable initialization from cd-rom; so i don’t know if this is the cause of my not being able to boot from cd. My server boots and ends at the following message: “BIOS installed successfully”
after detecting the containers created.I even have the impression that it does not even detect my cd rom.At startup i even pressed F1 to go to setup but could not. Please could someone help me through. Thanks for the cooperation.
