disable on board video card

I recently upgraded my pc buy adding a video card (32mb) but my win/xp shows a conflick. When I called them for support they said I would have to disable my onboard video but would not tell me how? I emailed the motherboard manufacturer but no reply! My pc is an athlon (amd) 500mgh. What do I look for in the bio’s?
