Disabling NIS on a client.

I have an NIS Server and a couple of client workstations that bind to the NIS Server. I am trying to remove one of the workstations from the NIS network. I disabled the nsswitch.conf entries for NIS, but it still tries to do a ypbind upon bootup?
Any ideas?
