Disconnected Network Drive as nonadmin

We are using Windows 2000 and XP workstations mapping to a Novell Network (Client 4.91). Once we remove Administrator Rights (lowered to Power Users) from the local workstation the mapped drives appear to be disconnected. You can still access the drives but on 2k they have a red X and on XP they say “Disconnected Network Drive”. This is only happening on some machines and if you add back admin rights the drives appear correctly.

If you remove the Novell Client and reinstall it Power User has no issue viewing the drives. There must be an easier fix.
