Disconnection of clients from server

I am managing a LAN with a combination of Wireless and Cabled connections to users. Users have been assign specific IPs. We share a common printer and also a common folder on the server. Most of my users in either connection modes, experience intermitent disconnection from the server and will have to restart their pc and re-logon to get connected, Can any on assist me on how to get over this problem.
