Discussion on optimizing network bandwidth

Bank of America has signed a deal to deploy 180,000 Cisco IP telephones over the next three years. In recent months other major companies have also signed up with Cisco to replace standard phone lines with VoIP. In your mind, does this further legitimize VoIP?
