display shakes

The picture on my computer display shakes and wobbles. If I turn the monitor on and off a few times the problem seems to go away for about 10 minutes. i plug in another monitor on my computer and it works fine. I heard somewhere that the power supply in the monitor might be bad. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
