I have a computer at home: Pentium 200Mhz, Cirrus Logic 5??? PCI Video card, 32MB ram, 1.6GB disk drive and no hardware conflicts. This is what my problem is:
Every now and then when I load Microsoft Windows 98, It runs in 16 color mode even tho I have set it to Hi color mode (16-bit). and other times, it works fine. But when it works in the 16 color mode, the cursor configuration has been resetted and it always installs the display driver EVERY TIME. then it asks me for the disk. Yes, I scanned the disk. there are no corrupted files. However When I access the registry, I see many entries about the same display driver. When I go in the device tab, I see only one. I tried updating my drivers and that fails. Is there something I can do to enjoy the 16-bit color in windows without it randomly resorting to 16 colors?
