DLC vs TCPIP NT 4.0 HP Printers

I am a Sysadmin and I have entered a new network environment. Window NT 4.0 servers(3) with 95 and a few NT 4.0 clients, 125 users with 10 to 15 HP Printers. Lan Tech wants to use DLC ? What are the Pro and Cons ? (Non-routable) I want to use pure TCP/IP. Staff is mad because I got the job.
