DNS and RAS

Our RAS users cannot access 2 member servers of the domain unless the entries for those servers are added to the hosts file. But we have entries in the DNS, how come it is not finding those entries in DNS? We’d like for them to be able to resolve itvia DNS and not have to maintain a host file.
