DNS for ISP

by mcooper . Updated 19 years, 2 months ago

Hello Everyone,

I own a small ISP in Houston Texas and I am running into problems, I am currently on a Linux Platform and I am moving to Windows 2003 Server platform for several reasons. However i am in a pickle at the moment, I don’t want anyone to actually answer this Just point me in the right direction.

I need to get a tutorial on creating multiple domains in the DNS mmc and in extreme detail. Such as I have the Primary Domain as bccisp.net, and we are hosting 10 other sites that I need to create in our dns server and assign IPs to on the IIS server. So I need something that will show me how to assign IPs to a particular server such as an IIS server to assign IPs to Websites.

When I create the zone file for let’s just say mlmobilenotary.com what dns server do I point it to how do I create the MX record so it doesn’t give me the error that it is pointing to itself and such like that.

Thanks very much for your help.
