DNS forwarding question

Hello,

I’m having trouble entering the right DNS record for the following issue:

Windows 2000 DNS is on our local domain/network which I’ll call hello.com.

Our webpage is hosted externally do there is a host record www that points to the IP of the server hosting the web page.

But I would also like people to get to the external hello.com webpage just by typing in hello.com in the browser address bar. But I don’t know how to tell DNS to do that.

Any help would be appreciated. It’s no doubt a simple answer, but I don’t want to wreck anything in our DNS records by being too cavalier.
