I have the following configuration:
One DC (domain bone-fish.com) located in gibraltar and one DC (domain member) located in Texas. Both servers are behind a firewall and all neccesary ports are configured. Each Server can Access the required Ports on the other server. The ports are not open for public IP adresses otjer than the servers one. Both Servers are also DNS servers. When I ow add the internal address for the server to the DNS it dissapears after 5 or ten minutes. So if the clients try to connect to the DCs I allways get errors because the cant resolve the server address. Any Idea how I can solve this problem? Is there any way to prevent the DNS server to delete records?
Example:
US Server has the public IP 72.232… and the internal 10.0….
The DNS enry for bfusmail-s (72.232…) is in the DNS and when I add a A record for the name with the address 10.0.0… this entry dissapears after I refresh the zone.
