Does anyone know how to restore this .img file to VM or even to a HDD?

Hi,

We were using a company to host a virtual machine on their servers. They were using Xenserver and we had agreed that once the project was over we would get the VM back.

I sent a hard-drive to them and I received a .img backup (not the vm itself), so the image is a copy of the underlying block device the Xen domU is using.

Does anyone know how to restore this .img file to VM or even to a hard-drive?
I am familiar with VMconverter but in this case I don’t know how it can help.
Any ideas will be helpful.
