Domain Controller help

Hi,

I have a network with one domain controller and the controller is damaged (Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt. Windowss\system32\config\system. I try to a repair but when it gets to load windows it crash with a code 16 error message.

I think my only option is to re-create this domain controller but I like to use the same domain name. But it might says that the domain name already existed. I had around 20 computers running on this network and now all my accounts are lost. Not sure what to do. Any recommedations?
