\\DomainName\ShareName Error

by rdenney . Updated 19 years, 1 month ago

I am installing a second DC onto the system. I want to be able to use the DFS and use \\domainname\sharename instead of \\servername\sharename.

Right now I get

\\donaminname\sharename is not accessible. You might not have permissions to use this network resource. Contact the Admin of this server to find out if you have access Permissions.

Configuration Information could not be read from the Domain controller, either because the machine is unavialable, or access has been denied.

But, when I do a map drive, and select other user, and enter domainname.local\username & password, it will map a drive for me.

One server is a SP2, the new server is R2.

Any ideas would be great!
