dos boot disk for netware 5

I created a DOS boot disk for Netware 5. I load LSL,EPROODI,IPXODI,and/or NETX,VLM. I’m able to connect with NETX, but not with VLM. It does tell me I’m connected to the server, but I don’t get the red Novell banner. Any ideas? My NET.CFG looks correct. Thanks.
