DOS

I’m currently working on a degree in computer science through a well known university. In one of my current classes, the teacher is really stressing the use of DOS. Everything from the MD command to xcopy, format… pretty much the whole nine yards.

While I’m not having any trouble, I am curious just how much DOS is used in networking. I know that ipconfig, ping, tracert etc… will be used, but how often does anyone out there use DOS more than say the GUI?
