Drive Migration

Having formatted and created the dos partition on one machine, I moved the HDD to another. Occaisionally errors accessing the hard drive result. Norton Disk Doctor reports an error and ask if I want to correct it.
Is there any way to correct this error without having to re-format the HDD in the new machine.
