Driver_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL??

by pierrejamme . Updated 23 years ago

I just finished using Windows Update to download critical updates on a Win 2K computer that wasn’t on the Internet before. It has been working smoothly until now. Tyan tiger 133 w/1GB RAM and all SCSI hardware (Adaptec 2940U/UW card) When it rebooted I tried dialing up the Internet again to get my e-mail. Kept getting dns erros and the: BSOD Stop:0x000000D1 C0xFFFF01FF, 0x00000010, 0x00000001, 0x85EA8086
Driver_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
(Note number of zeroes might not be completely accurate as it went into a memory dump and then rebooted)
I tried booting to a known good config, it came up for a little and the same thing. Rebooted three times with same problem. Much trhashing around before it hit BSOD.
Going to remove the latest two memchips tonight and check for IRQ conflicts.
Any other ideas are welcomed.
