Dropping out…..!!!!

My problem is that suddenly my server will not allow remote connection using PCANYWHERE LAN TCP/IP connections. At one time not so long ago I was able to connect from home and allow a Tech from FLA. connect for software Application service but, suddenly they try to connect and it seems like it is connecting and then they say it just drops out. I am stumped at what it might be. I have no problem dialing up as a backup but connection too slow when trying to FTP. One suggestion was to open TCP port 5631 and 5632 far as I know there open. how can I check and solve this problem? HELLPP!
