dual install ie6 and ie8 ??

We have old accounting systems that require the use of ie6 and upgrading that software is a lonnng process. In the meantime I’d like to use IE8 for any browser needs other than that system. Can I dual install IE6 and IE7 or 8?

If so I would probably limit IE6 usage to only the accounting services/servers and hide icons to it other than the links to those acct systems.
