My client has a single pc in his office, it runs Windows 2000 pro and has a network adapter connected directly to the head office network, that is configured with a static Ip address and I am not allowed to change any of the settings on that adapter.
I have installed a second network adapter which is configured for broadband internet, so that the client can use VNC to control the office computer from his home.
Trouble is the Remote desktop connections are trying to use the new network card to connect to the head office server, this doesn’t work because the connection is refused at the server if it comes from the internet.
I need you guys to tell me how I can force the remote desktop connection to use the company network adapter for remote desktop connections, otherwise the client has to disable the broadband connection to make it work.
Any clues?
