by michkap1 . Updated 24 years, 8 months ago

I am in the process of buying a Dell 8100 series computer and am not very familiar with the multimedia source: optical drives. What are the pros and cons of getting a DVD-ROM with a
CD-RW drive in one bay verus getting 2 bays- one with a CD-RW drive and one with a DVD-ROM?
I selected: Operating system WME
Logitech keyboard mouse
integrated 3com etherlink 10/100
56k telephony modem for windows ME-sound option
16X DVD ROM Drive for 32 MB NVIDA Geforce MX AGP Graphics caard
SB-Live value digital
AltecLansing ACS340 Speakers W/subwoofer
new MicrosoftTM Works suite2001 with money 2001 Standard
Norton Antivirus 2001
Dell Jukebox poweres byMusicmatch 6.0
Image expert 2000, Dell edition DPS- [412-2108]
10 feet USB Cable USBCABL-[7001-140]
For the 2nd bay-16x/10x/40x CD-RW drive 16CDRW2-[313-3305]
I have not purchased the Dell 8100 yet because I would like some expert advice concerning the above question.
