DVD writer sudden problems

Hello,

My DVD writer Matshita DVD-Ram UJ-845S suddenly does not recognise ANY CDRom or DVD home made ! No matter where it comes from (different writers)…. The CD not recognised are brand names not blank mass CDs or DVDs.

However commercial DVD or CD (plus the one from mags) are fully recognised…

It worked very OK for about 10 monts !

Anyone have any idea ? can it relate to any patch for Win? I have Win XP Pro sp-2 with all current pacthces installed.
