E-mailing Access report?

Here is my question. I created a report using access and it looks fine when I preview and print the report. However one of the major functions that I was asked to put in was, to allow it to be e-mailed. I have it emailing. However there is one date field that does not want to cooperate. If the date
on the report is 06-15 the date in the email will be -06-1. What can I do to fix this. I am saving it in an excel format, if that is any help.
