Allow me to introduce myself, I am Daniel D. Claborn at Oklahoma State University – Okmulgee an instructor in our current Management Information Systems Technology Programs. I have been asked to attend a preliminary planning meeting for the future of Information Technology (IT) for our campus and to bring with me evidence of what or how other colleges and universities have or will incorporate a more global Information Technology approach to their campus offerings.
Specifically, I have been asked to find the answers to the following questions:
1. What is the working definition upon which your campus has structured Information Technology offerings?
2. What career clusters would be aligned with your Information Technology programs?
3. For what jobs are you preparing students?
4. How is Information Technology programs structured on your campus?
a. Is it a program of study, an educational department, an educational division?
b. What does the curriculum look like? (Examples would be greatly appreciated.)
c. What discipline areas are involved within your Information Technology configuration?
Any assistance you may provide in assisting me in collecting this information from you is greatly appreciated. After compiling the results, I will gladly share my finding with anyone interested.
