Element Not Found

I have a laptop which is part of a workgroup using wireless network card. i can ping my domain controller on this laptop, but when i tyr to connect to PDC to install the network printer i gives message ‘Element Not Found’ i did try it with IP too but same result. I can acess my proxy on same domain with this laptop.
DNS address is specified in IP settings.
