email attachment

Greetings!!

I need advise and help. We have a prob on our email attachement in our co. We cannot attach a file more than 300kb. our web server is in linux.
once we attached a file in our web mail and even in yahoo.. it will be disconnected. can you help me on how to solve this prob.
