Email server case study

Im doing a case study where I’m implementing an email system in a hospital

I’ve chosen to buy 350 pc’s from dell and to also get a server with Windows Server 08 pre installed. I want to use Exchange Server 07 so would it be a matter of purchasing this and installing it on this server?
