environment command

I have large network that I was introduce to and I am learning on the job. so any steps that can help me out create this as a monitoring tools for all the sw/rt will be great..I was reading about the ios feature here on this site about show environment command ..after I enable the SNMP.. how I can have a log created and where that will be located .. Thanks
