Epson Stylus Photo 820 condensed print

How do you print condensed print (17.cpi or 15cpi) on Epson Stylus Photo 820. This printer supports ESC/P2 but there is nothing in the driver to allow it to initialize to condensed print or is there? I have used the generic windows print driver inthe past to accomplish this with other printers (cannon, epson, IBM) but this printer ignores the control sequence. I need to print 132 characters on an 8 1/2 x 11 form. What could be the problem?
