ERROR 1045

I recently installed MySQL on a machine with Win 2003 Server. At the end of the configuration process I get the msg Error Nr 1045 Access denied for user ‘local’@’host'(using password: YES)
Does anyone know how I can get past this, my firewall is deactivated?
