error upgrading a basic disk to dynamic

I want to create a mirror disk. What I understand is that you can’t create a mirror unless the two disk type is dynamic. So I upgraded my 1st disk where my windows 2000 is installed to dynamic from basic. But after restarting my PC I got a blue screen and can’t start Windows 2000 Server anymore.What should be the possible steps that I’m suppose to do. Please I need some help ASAP.
