error’s up the yingyang

by amit2 . Updated 23 years ago

Hi everyone I’m new to this tech board and hope someone can help me out here… I’m looking at a client’s network which has 6 Win2K advanced servers running. One in good condition and the rest outdated junk. Layout is like this, 1 DB server,1 Exchange 5.5 server running Exchange SMTP, 1 Proxy server which also has DNS, DHCP & WINS and is also the DC, 1 SMTP server, 1 Firewall server, 1 Backup Web hosting server with main server hosted by VERIO. These two servers replicates every three hours across same T1 as internet.
The proxy server is also running as the DNS, DHCP,WINS & as DC with three nics. Two of the nics 1 external, & 1 internal are set at 100 the other internal nic is at 10. IP address of Proxy is set as preferred DNS on the server and the two internal nics set with loop-back address as DNS with round-robin enabled. The SMTP server is also set at 10Mbps. The are all on auto-sensing 10/100 3Com switches, should I force the two nics at 100? This is only my 2nd day there and I have seen the network crash 4 times already.

Here is another warning message rceived every five minutes on the proxy server. Anyone’s help will be GREATLY APPRECIATED..

Security policies were propagated with warning. 0x534 : No mapping between account names and security IDs was done.
