I am looking for a utility, driver, or batch file that will allow me to “eject” an esata drive. If I just pull the drive (Win XP or Server 2003)the system records an event that states that the data on the drive may be comprimised because the write cache was not flushed. I have found that if I disable the drive first in the control panel I can remove it without generating an error. Although this works for me I am looking for something a customer can use that would be “bullt proof”. Like USB safely remove hardware….
