I was wondering if it would be ethical to hack into and disrupt or try to destroy the database of an online stolen credit card store that is operating openly like a regular e-commerce site. It might be even cooler to change some of the digits on large amounts of cards in their database instead of destroying the site. Or mess with users of the site’s accounts or computers.
here’s the article describing the store:

I would not be mentioning this here if I myself was planning to do this. I just thought it would be a great hobby for budding ‘Touch of Death’ type cyberpunk hackers 🙂 (who have a death wish and pull on a cigarette thinking ‘You only live twice’ or some other rationalization)
I’m pretty sure that the site would not complain to law enforcement, or at least law enforcement in this country that could arrest you.
Disclaimer: If you do decide to take up the war cry, you probably want to hide your tracks thru anonymous untraceable (by the Russion Mafia) servers, and not boast about it on IRC chats. Probaly be good to haev your live insurance paid up and some ammo handy. Messing with these guys could cause symptoms of pain, bleeding and death. Discontinue messing with these guys immediately should death or other symptoms occur.
Disclaimer2: It will not be me personally trying to do this, but if I see Rusky maffia types (or whoever else is running this horrid website) lurking by my place I won’t hesitate to shoot back, maybe first. Bring it on !!! See, it’s sometimes fun to be a hard-a$$!
Disclaimer3: If you at all consider trying this, probably best if you don’t post your intentions in this discussion.
It seems like with all the billions spent on iRack that we don’t seem to have money left over to do a few covert ops or cyberwarfare to disrupt these scum-of-the-earth. I think cyberwarfare would be alot cheaper. Instead of shoveling money out of airplanes over iRaq we should also take these guys out.
Well you can see I’ve already made up my mind but would be interested in discussing the ethics of this.
