I am getting the following error on my Small Business Server 2003 SP2. I have no idea where to start looking for the problem or solution.

I have been getting sporadic errors with VSS Shadow Copy Service for quite some time.
A couple of weeks ago I began having problems with my backups. i received various errors including
1. Event id 8017 – NTBackup error: ‘An inconsistency was encountered in the requested backup file.’
2. Event id 8009 – End Verify of ‘C:’ ‘Failed’ Consult the backup report for more detail.
When I tried to do a backup last week, I received an Error Id 12289 message from VSS.
I have run chkdsk, it found no problems.
I don’t know where to look from here.
Please Help!
