I have my server with cPanel set up so that my domain name is also my nameserver. I.E. www.domain.com points to ns1.domain.com and ns2.domain.com – which in turn points to my IP addresses also.
For some reason the domain works fine like this and then suddenly fails, but the other sites I have on my box still work fine. I think it’s failing after I add a new account.
I went in tonight to try to fix this bug and eventually registered a new domain name to use as the nameserver. I tried to remove the other domains listed as nameservers, but only one of them got deleted (although I recieved a message each on two others saying they were removed yet not).
So I decided to try to reboot the server to see if that would clear them up. The server didn’t reboot properly though, and now all of the services have failed and I can’t connect to the server through anything.
I recieved an email about each service that failed and here is the list I have:
BIND
Apache
cppop
cpsrvd
eximstats
interchange
postgresql
I tried FTP, SSH, the WHM and none connect. Does anyone have any idea how I can connect to my server and restart at least apache so I can get my server back up?
