exchange 2000 and outlook 2000

I have installed exchange 2000. Users access their mail through outlook 2000 from the office 2000 suite. For some reason when I “check name” under exchange server in outlook property, that name can not be resolved. The message states that that name does not match any name in the exchange client list. help me1
