Exchange 2003 Front Ends and Wss 3.0

I have a client who i would like to keep things simple for. They would like to use WSS and OWA.

My thought was to deploy them on the same box, when i did this the authentication worked but the OWA page got stuck saying it was Loading….. reason for wanting to do this is i woould like them to be able to go to https://
