I have a PDC with 2k3 and a BDC with 2k3. I have recently upgraded our exchange 2003 server to 2007. Exchange 2007 is installed on 2k8 X64. I am currently vitualizing all of my servers. I have installed 2 2k8 R2 servers. I Made one my new PDC and decommissioned my BDC. Once i decommissioned my BDC the entire company could not connect to exchange via outlook. I get LDAP errors on the server and certificate errors on outlook.
My guess at what is wrong… I did not remove the legacy exchange server properly and remenants still exist which are causing issues. I might have missed something while decommissioning the BDC…?
I am currently doing an MCITP Ent Admin course but have not gotten to AD part yet… If you need any other info i will provide it gladly.
Any advice would be much appreciated.
