Exchange 5.5 Enterprise to 2000 Standard

We are going through a complete 2000 migration here this year and are looking at upgrading our Exchange Server to 2000.

Currently we are running Exchange 5.5 Enterprise Addition right now and are looking to Upgrade to Exchange 2000 Standard (A lot cheaper and we don’t need an unlimited store, 16GB is fine).

What I’m wondering is, will there be any repercussions or problems from “upgrading to a downgrade” 5.5 Enterprise to 2000 Standard, besides the Message Store and X.400 information.

Heck will Exchange even allow you to do it?
