Hi Guys
Right, anyone giving me help to sort this problem gets eternal gratitude and helps me keep my contract with my main client!
They have got an AD/exchange backend and front end which have worked fine for years. The front end (server3) controls all local users, however the backend (server4) controls the pop email, and forwards onto server3 where it enters exchange and becomes a standard internal email.
So, the problem!
Currently when the CEO (the only guy who uses pop extensively) sends more than 1 email an hour it doesnt get delivered. It is in the message store on server4 and you can see it sat there, but it does not then forward onto server3, and subsequently doesnt get delivered to its recipient.
Neither me nor the other guy who helps support the company systems fully understand the forwarding/replication process so we dont know how to understand the problem fully.
It has been like it for several days, the ceo is extremely demanding and a lot rests on me sorting this problem.
Any feedback/help/ anything would be massively appreciated. I am sitting hitting refresh until I fix the problem so if you need any more info to help Im sat waiting to give it.
Hopeful thanks in advance!
Rich
EDIT:
The emails which do not forward on to the other server are all stored in the “queued” folder in vs1\queue
