I am having some problems which just pop up out of the blue. For some reason our staff on the road can’t seem to check their email. This is related to a POP3 issue. The message reads
“There was a problem logging onto your mail server.Your User Name was rejected. Account: ‘smtp.rpindustries.com’, Server: ‘smtp.rpindustries.com’, Protocol: POP3, Server Response: ‘-ERR’, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC91
I was able to telnet into the mail server port 110 successfully with a message “+OK POP3 server ready”. The message above shows up when a user can’t seem to get authorized to access the server. It keeps asking for the password. I have check all the users account and no lock outs. Anyone from the outside can’t check the mail. So it’s not just one user..
Any thoughts?
